Treating Crabgrass the Natural Way

Crabgrass is a nuisance.

There has been an aggressive resurgence of crabgrass late this summer. The best way to get rid of it is to be proactive. We recommend a late season aeration and heavy over seeding. This creates a strong root system to compete and force out the crabgrass. Then, in the spring, ALL of our fertilization program clients will receive an organic corn gluten application on their first visit. Corn gluten is a natural alternative to chemical weed control treatments, and acts as both a pre-emergent weed inhibitor (stops crabgrass before it starts!), while providing nutrients to your lawn.
